![]() The gang gets a good laugh out of her antics - even Steve… he doesn’t like to admit it though. She cooks dinner with Sodapop, she loves turning the potatoes blue - she doesn’t bother cooking with Darry because he’s no fun. She tries to sleep with Darry most nights, but Darry always takes her back to bed and tell her she’s a big girl, and big girls don’t sleep in their daddy’s bed. Johnny sits down and colours with her every now and then. She really doesn’t like Steve, when the others aren’t look she pokes her tongue out at him, no one believes him when he tries to fib on her. She starts to forget who her momma and daddy is… and after awhile, she starts calling Darry ‘Daddy’… he doesn’t have the heart to correct her so she just goes with it… it warms his heart that she thinks of him as a father. Ponyboy teaches her how to write her name. He sings ‘You are my sunshine’ just like his momma used to sing to him. Sodapop is the only one who can calm her down during a temper tantrum. Dally and Sodapop took her shopping for clothes once, Dally dressed her up real tuff looking in a black leather jacket and said ‘She’s the tuffest little greaser he’d ever met. She’s Darry’s little princess, after a stressful afternoon at work there’s nothing he enjoys more than tucking her into bed and reading her, her favourite book. She sit downs every afternoon with Two-Bit to watch Mickey Mouse on TV. She’s the only little kid that Dallas Winston can stand.
